Russ Warren, President
Though born in Texas, Russ was moved to California at an early age. After high school, he graduated the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT in 1961. A year later he was selected for flight school and spent the next six years flying search and rescue missions for the U. S. Coast Guard. In 1970, he joined Delta Air Lines as a pilot and flew for them for 29 years. After retiring from Delta in 1999, Russ and his wife, Donna, joined a mission organization called Operation Mobilization. While on board, they traveled to 15 countries and 45 cities. After two years they continued to serve with OM as representatives from OM to Finishers, an organization that recruits mature adults for mission service. The last three years, Russ and Donna have been involved in their local church leading a small group, leading marriage counseling workshops and jail ministry. Russ had the opportunity to work with Tim Wright, the creator of ArlingtonAnswers.com, and eagerly looks forward to fulfilling Tim’s vision.
Brian McFadden, Executive Vice President
Brian is the Community Impact Pastor at The Church on Rush Creek in Arlington, TX. He has served faithfully on the ArlingtonAnswer.com Advisory Board since June of 2010 and has been an important part of ensuring that ArlingtonAnswers.com remains on track with its vision. His favorite place to vacation with his family is in the mountains, especially Ruidosa, Colorado and Alaska. Brain also serves globally through mission outreach around the world. Brian married his wife, Sheryl, while attending Texas Tech in 1988 and they have two children, Caitlin and Carter.
Mandy Bankston, Treasurer
Mandy is a CPA and an auditor for the firm Ratliff & Associates, specializing in serving nonprofit organizations. She has over 17 years’ experience in audit and accounting. Mandy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1992 and has been a CPA since 1994. Mandy has been married to her best friend, Ken, for over 20 years and they have two daughters. The Bankstons are active members of Grace Community Church in Arlington, TX where Mandy and Ken are volunteers in the Great Adventure marriage ministry. She enjoys theatre, dance, outdoor adventures, dates with her best friend/husband and playing with her girls.
Carol Weideman, Board Secretary
Carol divides her time between Executive Director for ArlingtonAnswers.com and VP of Marketing a privately held company, Peak Energy Technology. Her husband and best friend, William, is a contract software engineer and president of their company that recycles electricity in homes and businesses. They have 3 sons between them; a freshman at A&M, a Junior at NSU and one married with triplet grandsons.
Joe Claunch, Board Member
Joe Claunch was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He met his wife on the racquetball courts where he pummeled her with balls until she agreed to marry him. Together for 13 years, they live in Arlington with a cat and a horse. Along the way Joe has spent his time writing software, teaching white water canoeing, karate, and sailing. He is also addicted to bicycling, hiking, and electronics.
Tim Wright, In Memoriam
Tim was born in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Tim was a Certified Financial Planner professionally from 1977 to 1994. Tim and Janice and daughters Amy and Stacy began attending Grace Community Church in 1991. Tim was invited to join the pastoral staff team at Grace in 1994. In 2008, Tim began laying the groundwork for ArlingtonAnswers.com which officially launched a successful pilot program in two zip codes in August 2009. Tim enjoyed reading, playing guitar, travel, outdoor adventure, and being a father to Amy, Stacy, Robbie and Trey and a grandfather to his 4 grand daughters. Tim passed away in September 2010.
ArlingtonAnswers.com is an affiliate of CommunityVision of America. Community Vision of America works in conjunction with city officials, local businesses, local churches, other like volunteer organizations to offer educational workshops, job fairs, counseling, health awareness workshops, and fun events. Most are free of charge. Community Vision of America is looking to add more ‘Answers’ affliates in other towns and cities.
